040112: Palm Sunday, OJT Requirements

Palm Sunday is the start of holy week. This holy week will be a lot more different. Why? I will be very busy this time. Yes, because of my Pizza Hut OJT. Although I will not be starting yet, I have to cram and rush the requirements I will be passing on Wednesday. *Goodness!* That's part of life, really.

So, for my activities today:

[/] Attend Palm Sunday Mass
[] Buy (2) 10 cc bottles for my urine & stool sample
[/] Get endorsement letter for my Barangay Clearance
[] Have an Xray examination

I woke up a late, about 5:00 in the morning, knowing that the mass will start at 5:30, but then, God was so good that the mass started a bit late and my mum and I ended up catching the mass at a real good time. We bought palm leaves that will be blessed during the first part of the mass. I envy those who got palm leaves with a cute design. Yeah, sucker of anything eye-catchy here!

After the first part of the mass, we had this mini prosession to the church. Being so clumsy, my left foot lost its balance and I ended up semi-slipping. Good thing I was able to control. Should I blame my 5 inches Nine West wedge for it?! Nadah. Right after the mass, we ate our dinner at a restaurant near the church. We got the Nilagang Baka, Liempo and Ginataang Pagi! So yummy! Oh, Adobong Gizzard and Liver for my Baby Coco. :)) So, today, I am just waiting for my parents from Acupuncture and we're heading to Mercury Drug to buy sample bottles and have my xray done. Yeay! :)

BEFORE I FORGET. It's April 1 today! HAPPY FOOL'S DAY! :) But Palm Sunday should not be considered part of this April Fool's Day, cos it's sacred hence we should commemorate and realize Jesus' great deeds for us! <3 Okay?

033112: Pizza Hut Orientation, Good-hearted FX Driver, Unexpected Make-up Gig

Today was the orientation of our target restaurant/ company which is Pizza Hut. <3 I was so excited and nervous at the same time. I woke up at around 4:33 in the morning and went straight to the bath room and prepped up. Yes, I am that time conscious. Our orientation was supposed to start at 8am, but I think it started at around 9ish. Our meeting place was at Mcdo at Gateway, since it was a few blocks away from Aurora Tower.  The time the HR talked about their company,  I was really amazed and motivated. I found myself nodding and agreeing with his words. <3 With that, I fell in love with Pizza Hut. I even learned one thing today,
"GRAB THE CHANCE" :)

Right after the orientation, my mum texted me and asked if I will be going home already; I replied yes and asked why. She said that there was a make-up gig for me. I have to doll up my neighbor who'll be graduating today, 4pm. Oh, by that time, I was so excited and really giggly since this is my first time prepping up a client. So, I took an FX heading to Cogeo Loob and texted my boyfriend and told him everything that happened during the orientation and the surprise make-up gig. Blah.

Okay, when I was about to leave the cab, the rain poured real hard. As in, to the max! I am wearing my 4-inches black suede heels, with my corporate attire (blouse and black skirt). How cool was that? I told the driver to drop me on the church instead, because the tricycle area was I guess 5 steps away than my supposed to be drop off area. The driver asked me if I have an umbrella and I said, "Wala po". Then, when I told the driver to stop, he asked me where do I live? What road exactly? Then, I told him the exact road. You know what? He drove me to my house! I asked him not to, since I am getting shy. He answered, "Hatid na kita. Kapag bumaba ka dyan, mababasa kadin". How good-hearted he was! Then I told him to drop me off at the blue gate, there I saw my mum, waiting for me outside and she was shocked to see that I was drove by an FX to our house. She began talking to the driver, saying how much should she add for the fare? Cos, she's getting shy as well. The driver refused. We said THANK YOU and gave him a big smile. <3 Good thing he was a good man! :)

My sister was shocked about it and she began telling me not to do it again. After that, she called for a food delivery for lunch since we are all starving but we cannot move out since it is raining super hard. After 30 minutes, the food came and we ate lunch at the living room. We were so full and thankful. <3 I felt some sort of headache going on and began sleeping.

After about 45 minutes of nap, my mum woke me up and told me that my client was already there. I rushed to my room, fix myself and my make-up stuff. She looked so pretty afterwards. I may not be able to take a snapshot, but still in my mind, I can recall how good she looked after the numerous swipe and twirls. :)

The wonder of Castor Oil!

Do you know anything about the so-called Castor Oil? :)
If not, you might have not experienced its wonderful effects. Read me! ♥

Castor Oil

is a thick, golden liquid obtained from the seeds of the castor plant (also called castor beans) that has no scent or odour. Icontains an extremely high amount of a rare and unusual fatty acid called ricinoleic acidRicinoleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid which is only found in castor oil and in a group of fungi called ergot. This fatty acid is highly beneficial to health and its effects on humans.

It was already used thousands of years ago by Egyptians to help fight off skin infections and for healthy hair. It was also used by primitive people to preserve food due to its strong antimicrobial properties. In India, castor oil was a folk medicine that was used as a laxative and to improve memory.

Yes, this oil does a lot of wonder on our body. I learned about Castor oil through my parents when I told them that I  had this constipation (refers to bowel movements that are infrequent or hard to pass). They asked me to take 1 tablespoon of this oil and in no time, I rushed myself to the comfort room. (No Jokes!!☺)  By that time, I was amazed by this Castor Oil and researched about it. I found out that it also have this certain benefits, like:

1. Castor Oil cures acne

The ricinoleic acid in castor oil works to inhibit many viruses and bacteria, and as castor oil is able to penetrate skin tissue deeply, this makes it an effective treatment for acne.

2. Castor Oil keeps the skin looking smooth, youthful and unlined

Castor oil’s ability to penetrate more deeply than any other essential plant oil make it an excellent way to keep skin looking youthful and fresh. Castor oil works better than any store-bought anti-ageing creams.
One of the best and easiest ways to use castor oil is to rub in a small amount around your eyes before bed, washing it off the next morning.

3. Castor Oil breaks up external and internal scar tissue, and prevents new scars from forming

Castor oil’s unrivaled deep tissue penetration help to soften and remove both external and internal scars, like those that form following surgery. I have personally removed a deep burn scar using castor oil

5. Castor Oil thickens eyelashes and eyebrows

Rub a little castor oil over the base of your eyelashes before bed. This prevents thinning and promotes rapid growth, leading to thicker and fuller lashes. In fact, many commercial products for eyelashes contain castor oil.
To thicken sparse eyebrows, rub a little castor oil over the brow line before bed.

6. Castor Oil prevents hair loss and regenerates hair

The anti-bacterial and anti-fungicidal properties of ricinoleic acid in castor oil protects the scalp and hair from infections that can cause hair loss. The omega-9 fatty acids in castor oil also nourish the hair and prevent the scalp from drying.
Rubbing castor oil on your scalp and the roots of your hair will regenerate new hair growth within months. This will also thicken thinning hair.

7. Castor Oil keeps hair looking soft and shiny

Castor oil is a humectant as it draws moisture into the hair and skin. Applying castor oil on hair will keep it looking soft, shiny and strong.

8. Castor Oil softens thick calluses and removes corns

Castor oil application will soften any rough or thickened skin, including calluses and corns. To treat corns, apply castor oil over your feet and put cotton socks on before going to bed. (Incidentally, sleeping with castor oil socks on will also soothe painful heels and foot pain.)

9. Castor Oil cures skin infections like athlete’s foot and ringworm

Apply a castor oil soaked cloth on the affected area. If it is small enough, a bandaid with a few drops of castor oil can be used instead.

10. Castor Oil prevents stretch marks

Rub a small amount of castor oil over your stomach and thighs daily to prevent stretchmarks during pregnancy or periods of weight gain.

11. Castor Oil will remove moles and warts (apply heat for faster results)

Rub castor oil into moles or warts every night. The moles (or warts) will start to shrink over a few weeks, and continued use will eventually remove the mole without any scarring. Complete removal may take 2-3 months, but this slow healing will also ensure there is no “hole” in your skin. (The surgical removal of moles will often leave a hole where the mole was. This indentation can often be permanent.)

12. Castor Oil will remove age spots (liver spots)

Rub castor oil into your age spots every night. The age spot will lighten over time, and continued use will eventually remove the age spot completely.

How good was that?
Today, I am much willing to take it everyday and never mind the taste. (It tastes like plastic balloon) :P
But instead, I'll do it for my skin and my health. ♥
